University of Exeter
The University of Exeter is a highly regarded institution with a strong focus on research and innovation, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes across four campuses in Devon and Cornwall: two in the city of Exeter, plus Penryn and Truro in Cornwall. Which campus a student is based on depends on their course.
Exeter's campuses mix new and historical buildings, with grounds the university describes as among the most beautiful and botanically interesting of any UK university. Facilities include libraries, teaching spaces, labs, sports centres, shops, bars and food outlets, with named sites including The Forum, the university's central learning and research hub, the Living Systems Institute, and the Environment and Sustainability Institute in Cornwall.
Student life includes more than 400 clubs and societies and more than 50 sports clubs, such as the Exeter University Rugby Club and Netball Club, with a community that the university says is focused on sustainability and wellbeing.
Exeter itself offers the historic Exeter Cathedral, Roman heritage, parks and gardens, shopping, dining and nightlife, with access to Dartmoor National Park, the Devon countryside and Cornish coastlines nearby.
