University of Lancashire
The University of Lancashire, in the North-West of England, is ranked in the top 7% of worldwide universities by the Centre for World University Rankings 2023 (CWUR). It is also ranked in the top 20% in the world for the positive impact it has on society and the environment (The Times Higher Education World University Impact Rankings 2023).
Its main campus is in Preston, with other campuses in Burnley and Westlakes, and the university has recently invested £60 million in a Student Centre plus a £35m Engineering Innovation Centre.
Preston is close to large cities such as Manchester and Liverpool as well as the UK's most famous National Park: the Lake District. The University of Lancashire was also ranked the most affordable university in the UK by The Times in 2023.

Medical School
University of Lancashire Medical School offers a 5-year MBBS with an emphasis on early patient contact and work-based learning: years 1 and 2 are taught at the Preston campus, with years 3 to 5 at the Burnley or Westlakes campus, largely as supervised placements at local NHS hospitals. Patient contact starts in year 1, including a placement in a GP practice.
The Medical School is recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) for awarding UK primary medical qualifications.
Veritas Pathways students on the International Foundation Year may progress to University of Lancashire, subject to meeting its academic, English language, attendance and non-academic entry requirements.
