Professor Mike Bewick, FRCP, FRCGP MICP
Chair of the Governors
Dr Mike Bewick is an experienced clinician, educator, and medical leader. He is the former National Deputy Medical Director of NHS England. He has led over 15 reviews into the quality of care across Trusts in England. Since forming his consultancy (iQ4U) in 2015, he has also assisted four universities in developing their medical schools, most recently at St Mary’s Twickenham, where he was Interim Dean until 2025. He has an interest in digital health and was the author of the first online master’s degree in digital health, launched in 2021. Until recently, he was the chair of CECOPS, which quality-assures assistive technologies. He is currently advising several technology start-ups on their strategy and governance. He is a Trustee of the Unity Schools Partnership. Mike initially trained in oncology and later was a convert to general practice, where he was a partner in a practice in West Cumbria for two years. He was an educator of undergraduates and postgraduate students and an RCGP examiner, assuming the role of Chair of Assessment for seven years.

A respected speaker and panellist, she is known for listening deeply, welcoming diverse voices, and translating complexity into momentum that inspires action across generations.Katherine founded a national charity dedicated to student mental health, reflecting her long-standing commitment to wellbeing, equity, and systemic change. Her specialisms span EdTech, organisational design, education, and business growth, and she is recognised for guiding leaders through transformation with precision, empathy, and commercial acumen.Her achievements include uplifting global university satisfaction rankings, redesigning Professional Service and Academic operating models, and developing C-suite leadership programmes. As an exited EdTech founder with expertise in M&A and high-growth scaleups, she designs AI-enabled, human-centred operating models that create competitive advantage. She is also the founder of Campus to Campus and the winner of the Global Queens Leadership Trailblazer of the Year Award 2026.Well-networked and highly regarded, Katherine is sought after for her strategic counsel and her ability to unlock opportunity with lasting impact.
Professor Uma Gunasilan

Professor Uma Gunasilan is a globally experienced academic leader with 25+ years’ track record delivering institutional transformation, high-stakes governance and quality assurance across the UK, Ireland, USA, Middle East, Malaysia and Australia. She brings deep expertise spanning Computer Science, Management, AI, digital transformation and sustainability leadership, with a strong record of building trusted partnerships across universities, government and industry. Uma has led major accreditation and regulatory cycles including UK QAA, TEF- and OfS-aligned academic operations, and multiple international accreditations (including AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), alongside KHDA and CAA work in the UAE.She has held senior roles including Deputy Director at NYU London and Associate Dean of Research at Hult International Business School, overseeing multi-campus operations, strengthening student outcomes, and leading large-scale change programmes. She has managed significant budgets (including $25M+ campus operations and multi-million research portfolios) and created high-impact initiatives that improved engagement, retention, and employability.A prolific scholar with 70+ publications, including Harvard Business cases, Uma currently serves as Scientific Director at Multiphysics Group and is a Board Advisor at Imperial College London. She is a Principal Fellow of Advance HE (PFHEA), Fellow of the IET (FIET), and holds two PhDs (Computer Information Systems; Management).
