The University Essex is just one hour from London and set in 200 acres of beautiful parkland just outside the historic town of Colchester. In 2024 the university was ranked 15th for International Outlook in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Also ranked 30th overall in the Guardian University Guide 2024 and 49th for law (Times Higher Education World University Rankings)
The main university campus is self-contained campus with banks, restaurants, shops, bars and everything that students need. In fact, there is no reason to leave the campus. The university has additional campuses in Southend and Loughton (both in Essex)
